Cyber Security Blog Post Series

Weak or Stolen Passwords

One of the easiest and most frequent reasons for data breaches are stolen passwords. Too many people use common passwords like "Password1" and "123456," making it easy for hackers to access confidential information without even breaking a sweat.

You should take special care to choose something unique every time you choose your password because even passwords that are considered to be reasonably safe can be cracked with the help of computer programmes that search through thousands of the most popular credentials.

If you write down your password or use the same phrase for many accounts, you're also at risk.

Better Options to follow :

A twelve-character password with one uppercase letter, one number and one symbol is almost unbreakable, taking a computer 34,000 years to crack.
